Who we are
Robotikos mokykla (Robotics School) is a non-profit STEAM education provider based in Vilnius, Lithuania. For more than a decade we have been advancing robotics and engineering education through structured, practice-based learning – turning complex technologies into lessons that children, adults and teachers can actually use.
We apply hands-on technology to engage and motivate students to learn science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM), while equipping them with the real-world knowledge required by today’s global society. We believe that true learning takes place when students discover on their own through a hands-on, minds-on approach – experimenting, making mistakes and looking for creative solutions.
What we do
Courses for children and teens
Weekly clubs and courses adapted to each age group: robotics and electronics, Arduino and IoT, 3D modelling and printing, drones, game development and artificial intelligence.
Camps
Holiday and summer camps that combine meaningful work with organised leisure. Campers work in small teams to find challenges in their community they can solve with technology.
Programmes for adults
Practical courses in Arduino electronics, 3D design and casting, drones and AI agents, plus team-building events for companies and birthday parties for kids.
Teacher training
Since 2014 we have trained teachers in robotics, electronics and educational innovation. We offer state-accredited qualification programmes for both beginner and experienced educators.
European projects
Since 2017 we have coordinated seven Erasmus+ KA2 projects and partnered in four more, producing teaching toolkits and multilingual resources used by schools across Europe.
Competitions
Our student teams take part in international robotics competitions – in Washington, DC, Dubai, China, Mexico, Latvia and Estonia.
Projects with impact
Our work has received national and European recognition, including the European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA 2022).
In the EU project “Let’s see each other” we worked with visually impaired people, who shared the challenges they face every day. We helped reduce them with technology – for example by 3D printing tactile models of famous people and of well-known and local buildings.
We also run projects in rural areas, libraries and schools to introduce children to the latest technologies. In the Global Libraries – Libraries for Innovation project, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we trained library staff, delivered workshops and prepared learning materials. We actively include displaced Ukrainian children in our programmes.
Our lab
Students learn with modern equipment, much of it acquired with EU support: 3D printers, robotic arms, laser cutters, VR devices, computer vision modules, IoT kits and drones.
We also apply engineering to sustainability – building a hydroponic greenhouse, repurposing battery systems and developing drone boats for water-quality monitoring.
Our team
A core team of educators and engineers, supported by around 15 volunteers and a wide network of teachers and technical collaborators. We are a member of the INFOBALT association.
